2. Important Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical products to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.

  • Ensure the power supply to the light fixture is OFF at both the switch and the circuit breaker before attempting installation, removal, or maintenance.
  • Do not handle the light bulb with wet hands.
  • This bulb is made of glass; handle with care to prevent breakage.
  • Do not use in fully enclosed fixtures unless the fixture is specifically designed for Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs).

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to safely install your replacement light bulb:

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the light fixture's switch and the corresponding circuit breaker. Turn both off to ensure no power is supplied to the fixture.
  2. Cool Down: If replacing an old bulb that was recently in use, allow it to cool completely before handling.
  3. Remove Old Bulb: Carefully unscrew the old light bulb from the fixture socket by turning it counter-clockwise.
  4. Install New Bulb: Gently screw the Technical Precision S7414 replacement bulb into the fixture socket by turning it clockwise until it is snug. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the bulb or the fixture.
  5. Restore Power: Turn on the circuit breaker, then turn on the light switch to test the new bulb.

5. Operation

Once properly installed, the Technical Precision S7414 light bulb operates like any standard light bulb. Simply use the light switch to turn it on or off. Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) may require a brief warm-up period to reach full brightness, especially in colder environments. This is normal behavior for CFL technology.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Ensure the power is off and the bulb is cool before cleaning. Wipe the bulb with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive materials, or solvents, as these can damage the bulb's surface or internal components.
  • Handling: Always handle the bulb by its plastic base, not the glass spiral, to avoid damage or breakage.
  • Replacement: Replace the bulb when it reaches the end of its operational lifespan or if it becomes damaged. Follow the installation instructions provided in Section 4 for safe replacement.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
