5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. It is recommended to have at least two people for certain steps.
5.1 Pre-Installation Checks
- Ensure your wall can support the weight of the hardware kit and doors. Locate wall studs for secure mounting.
- Confirm sufficient ceiling clearance (minimum 9 inches).
- Verify door thickness is within the recommended range (1-3/8" to 1-3/4").
5.2 Installation Steps
- Mark and Drill Track and Bracket Holes:
Measure and mark the positions for the track and bracket holes on your wall. The rail is pre-drilled with 16-inch hole spacing. Use a level to ensure accuracy. Drill pilot holes as indicated in the detailed step-by-step manual provided in the package.

Figure 1: Rail thickness and pre-drilled hole spacing.
- Install the Inside Track with Spacers and Bolts:
Attach the inside track to the wall using the provided spacers and bolts. Ensure the track is level and securely fastened to wall studs. If studs are not available, use appropriate heavy-duty anchors (not included for drywall without studs).
- Attach Brackets on the Wall and Install the Outside Track:
Mount the bracket kits to the wall, aligning them with the inside track. Then, install the outside track onto these brackets. This bypass system uses two separate tracks, allowing doors to slide independently.

- Attach Steel Hangers to Your Doors:
Secure the J-shape hangers (rollers) to the top edge of your barn doors. Each hanger has two lubricated bearings for smooth operation. Ensure the hangers are evenly spaced and firmly attached.

- Hang Your Doors and Install Anti-jump Pads:
Carefully lift and hang your doors onto the tracks. Install the anti-jump pads on the top edge of each door, near the hangers. These pads prevent the door from lifting off the track during operation.

- Install and Adjust Door Stoppers:
Place the door stoppers at the desired positions on the tracks to limit the travel of the doors. The rubber-covered door stoppers provide a buffer effect and reduce noise.

- Adjust Door Opening and Closing Positions, then Install Floor Guides:
Slide the doors to their fully open and closed positions to ensure smooth movement. Install the floor guides at the bottom of the doors. The kit includes floor guides suitable for both grooved and ungrooved doors.

- Final Adjustments:
Ensure all bolts and screws are tightened. Check that the doors slide smoothly and quietly without obstruction. Make any necessary fine adjustments to the door stoppers and floor guides.

6. Operating Instructions
The ZEKOO Double Track Bypass system allows two barn doors to slide independently on separate tracks. This design prevents doors from interfering with each other, offering maximum opening space.
- To open a door, gently push or pull it along its track until it reaches the desired position or the door stopper.
- To close a door, slide it back along its track until it meets the other door or the door stopper.
- The rollers are designed for smooth and quiet operation. Avoid forcing the doors if you encounter resistance.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the tracks and hardware components with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Lubrication: The roller bearings are pre-lubricated. If the doors begin to feel stiff over time, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the track or roller wheels.
- Inspection: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary. Inspect the anti-jump pads and door stoppers for wear and tear.
- Corrosion Prevention: The black electrostatic sprayed carbon steel track is designed to resist corrosion and rust. However, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or harsh chemicals.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Doors do not slide smoothly or are noisy. | Dust/debris on track, loose bolts, lack of lubrication, misaligned track. | Clean tracks, tighten all bolts, apply silicone lubricant, check track alignment with a level. |
| Door lifts off the track. | Anti-jump pads not installed or improperly adjusted. | Ensure anti-jump pads are correctly installed and adjusted to prevent lifting. |
| Doors hit each other or the wall. | Door stoppers improperly positioned or loose. | Adjust the position of the door stoppers to prevent collisions. Tighten stoppers securely. |
| Gap between doors is incorrect. | Incorrect door width or track installation. | Review installation measurements. Ensure doors are the correct width for the track length. |
