Please observe the following safety precautions during installation and use:

  • Structural Integrity: Do not install the hardware on sheetrock walls or drywall without locating and securing to wall studs or a solid header. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the doors and hardware.

  • Door Dimensions: The kit is designed for door panels up to 40 inches wide. Doors should not be thicker than 2 inches.

Installation Instructions

Follow these steps carefully for a successful installation. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps, especially when handling doors.

  1. Prepare the Wall: Use a stud finder to locate wall studs above your door opening. Mark the positions. If studs are not aligned with the pre-drilled holes on the track, install a header board (not included) securely into the studs first.
  2. Mark and Drill Holes: Hold the track sections against the wall at the desired height (ensuring 9" ceiling clearance). Use a level to ensure it's straight. Mark the drilling points for the track and bracket holes. Drill pilot holes according to the hardware specifications.
  3. Install the Inner Track: Attach the inner track sections to the wall using the provided spacers and bolts. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
  4. Attach Brackets and Outer Track: Install the brackets onto the wall, then attach the outer track sections to these brackets. Verify both tracks are parallel and level.
  5. Prepare the Doors: Attach the J-shape hangers (rollers) to the top edge of your barn doors. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  6. Hang the Doors: Carefully lift and hang the doors onto their respective tracks.
  7. Install Anti-Jump Pads: Attach the anti-jump pads to the top edge of each door, above the track, to prevent the doors from accidentally lifting off.
  8. Adjust Door Stoppers: Slide the door stoppers onto the tracks and adjust their positions to control the opening and closing limits of each door. Tighten them securely.
  9. Install Floor Guides: Position the floor guides at the bottom of the door opening to prevent the doors from swinging outwards. There are two installation methods for grooved or ungrooved doors. Secure them to the floor.

Operating Instructions

To operate your ZEKOO Double Track Bypass Sliding Barn Doors:

  • Grasp the door handle (if installed) or the edge of the door.
  • Gently slide the door along its track in the desired direction. The nylon wheels and Gcr15 bearings ensure a smooth and quiet glide.
  • The door stoppers will prevent the door from sliding past its designated open or closed position.
  • Due to the bypass design, you can slide either door independently to access the desired area.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your barn door hardware:

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the tracks and rollers with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Lubrication: The bearings are designed for long-lasting smooth operation. If any squeaking or stiffness occurs, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the roller axles.
  • Hardware Check: Annually inspect all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Door Stoppers & Anti-Jump Pads: Verify that door stoppers are securely in place and anti-jump pads are functioning correctly.

If you encounter any issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
