2. Safety Information
Operating any generator requires strict adherence to safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage. Please read and understand all safety warnings before operating this product.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless, poisonous gas. Operating a generator indoors can kill you in minutes. ALWAYS use the generator outdoors, far away from windows, doors, and vents.
- Electrical Safety: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and properly grounded. Do not overload the generator.
- Fuel Safety: Gasoline is highly flammable. Store fuel in approved containers in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources. Do not refuel a hot or running engine.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator's engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact with hot surfaces.
- Proposition 65 Warning: This product can expose you to chemicals including carbon monoxide, which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
