Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the OnGuard Stun Gun. Regular charging ensures optimal performance.

  1. Ensure the safety switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Locate the USB charging port on the device.
  3. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the device and to a standard USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
  4. Allow the device to charge until the charging indicator light (if present) indicates a full charge. Charging time may vary.
  5. Disconnect the charging cable once fully charged.

Operating Instructions

Using the Flashlight

  1. Ensure the safety switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Press the flashlight button (refer to Figure 1 for location) to activate the dual LED flashlights.
  3. Press the button again to turn off the flashlight.

Using the Stun Gun

WARNING: Use the stun gun only in situations requiring self-defense. Improper use can lead to serious consequences.

  1. Move the safety switch to the ON position.
  2. Press and hold the stun activation button (refer to Figure 1 for location). The stun contacts will emit an electrical arc.
  3. To disable an aggressor, firmly press the stun contacts against a large muscle group (e.g., shoulder, hip, thigh) for 3-5 seconds.
  4. Immediately move the safety switch back to the OFF position after use.

Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and dry. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth if necessary. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Store the stun gun in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Regularly check the battery charge and recharge as needed to maintain readiness.
  • Periodically test the stun function in a safe environment (e.g., away from people and flammable materials) to ensure it is working correctly.
