4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials, including the foam base and adhesive tape. Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. Keep packaging materials until you are satisfied with the product.
4.2 Placement
Place the refrigerator on a firm, level floor. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit. Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space on the sides and back, and 8 inches (20 cm) on top for proper air circulation. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources.

4.3 Power Connection
Before plugging in, allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours. This allows the refrigerant to settle. Plug the appliance into a dedicated 115V AC, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or ungrounded adapters.
4.4 Reversible Door Installation
The refrigerator doors are reversible, allowing them to open from either the left or right side. If you wish to change the door swing direction, refer to the detailed instructions provided in the separate door reversal kit (if included) or contact customer support for guidance. This process typically involves moving hinges and door handles.
5. Operating Your Refrigerator
5.1 Temperature Control
The refrigerator features a mechanical temperature control dial located inside the fresh food compartment. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity. Settings range from 'Min' (least cold) to 'Max' (coldest). For general use, a medium setting is often sufficient. The cooling temperature setting range is 32°F-50°F (0°C-10°C) for the cooler and the lowest freezing temperature is 5°F (-15°C) for the freezer.
5.2 Fresh Food Compartment
The fresh food compartment has a capacity of 2.25 cu. ft. (63L). It includes removable glass shelves that can be adjusted to accommodate items of various heights. The transparent crisper drawer is designed to keep fruits and vegetables fresh.

5.4 Noise Level
The refrigerator operates at a noise level of approximately 45dB, which is comparable to a library environment. This ensures quiet operation suitable for dorms, offices, or bedrooms.

6. Maintenance and Care
6.1 Defrosting
This refrigerator features manual defrost. Frost will accumulate on the freezer walls. When the frost layer is about 0.2 inches (5 mm) thick, defrost the freezer. To defrost, unplug the refrigerator, remove all food, and leave the freezer door open. Place a towel or shallow pan to catch melting ice. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost.
6.2 Cleaning
Clean the interior and exterior of the refrigerator regularly. Unplug the unit before cleaning. Use a soft cloth with a mild detergent and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Dry thoroughly after cleaning. The removable glass shelves can be washed with soap and water.
6.3 Power Outages and Vacations
In case of a power outage, keep the refrigerator doors closed to maintain temperature. For long vacations, unplug the unit, empty all contents, clean thoroughly, and leave the doors slightly ajar to prevent odors and mold growth.
7. Troubleshooting Guide
Before contacting customer service, please check the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator does not operate. | Not plugged in; circuit breaker tripped; temperature control set to "OFF". | Ensure plug is secure; reset circuit breaker; turn temperature control to desired setting. |
| Temperature is too warm. | Door opened too frequently; large amount of warm food added; poor air circulation; temperature control set too low. | Minimize door openings; allow warm food to cool before placing inside; ensure proper clearance around unit; adjust temperature control to a colder setting. |
| Excessive noise. | Refrigerator is not level; parts are loose; normal operating sounds. | Adjust leveling feet; check for loose components; gurgling or humming sounds are normal. |
| Water on floor/inside. | Drain tube clogged; door not sealed properly; manual defrosting in progress. | Clear drain tube; check door seal and adjust if necessary; this is normal during manual defrost. |
