2. Setup Instructions
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the microwave oven and all packing materials from the carton. Check for any damage, such as dents or a misaligned door. Do not operate the microwave if it is damaged.
- Placement: Place the microwave on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight and the heaviest food item likely to be cooked in it. Ensure adequate ventilation by leaving at least 4 inches of space around the sides, top, and rear of the oven. Do not block air vents.
- Power Connection: Plug the microwave oven into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage and frequency match the specifications on the rating label. Do not use extension cords or adapters.
- Turntable Installation: Place the turntable ring in the center of the oven cavity. Then, place the glass turntable plate securely on top of the turntable ring. Ensure it is properly seated and can rotate freely.

3. Operating Instructions
The Farberware Countertop Microwave features an intuitive control panel for easy operation. Below are basic instructions for common functions.
Basic Cooking:
- Setting Cook Time: Press the "Time Cook" button, then use the number pad to enter the desired cooking time. Press "Start".
- Express Cook: For quick cooking, simply press one of the "Express Cook" buttons (1-6) for 1 to 6 minutes of cooking at full power. Press "Start +30 Sec" to add 30 seconds to the cooking time.
- Power Level: To adjust power level, press "Power" after setting the cook time, then enter the desired power level (1-10).
One-Touch Cooking Programs:
Utilize the pre-programmed settings for popular food items:
- Popcorn: Press "Popcorn" for automatic popcorn cooking.
- Potato: Press "Potato" for baked potatoes.
- Pizza: Press "Pizza" for reheating pizza slices.

- Kitchen Timer: Use the "Kitchen Timer" for general timing without microwave operation.
- Child Safety Lock: To activate, press and hold the "Stop/Clear" button for 3 seconds. The display will show "LOCK". To deactivate, press and hold "Stop/Clear" again for 3 seconds.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning the Exterior:
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the surface.
Cleaning the Interior:
For spills and splatters, wipe the interior with a soft cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, place a bowl of water with lemon slices inside and microwave for 2-3 minutes until steam fills the cavity. This will loosen food particles for easier cleaning. Turntable and Ring:
The glass turntable and turntable ring can be removed for cleaning. Wash them in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the oven.
