Operating Instructions

The GARDIGO Water Jet Animal Repellent uses a passive infrared (PIR) motion detector to sense animal movement and activate a water jet.

How it Works:

  1. The motion sensor detects an animal within its detection zone.
  2. The water jet is activated, releasing a burst of water.
  3. The sudden spray of water scares the animal, causing it to leave the area.

Adjusting Settings:

  • Detection Area: The PIR motion detector covers an area of approximately 100° x 60°. Position the unit to cover the desired protection zone.
  • Water Jet Range: The water jet has a range of up to 10 meters, depending on the setting and water pressure. A regulator on the unit allows you to adjust the spray distance. Turn the regulator to increase or decrease the range as needed.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: When the unit's performance decreases or it stops activating, replace the two AA batteries.
  • Winter Storage: During periods of freezing temperatures, it is recommended to disconnect the unit from the water supply, drain any residual water, and store it indoors to prevent damage from ice.
  • Hose Connection Check: Regularly inspect the hose connection for leaks. Ensure the connection is tight and compatible with your hose size.
  • Sensor Cleaning: Keep the motion sensor lens clean and free from dirt or debris to ensure optimal detection.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Unit not activatingDead batteries; Sensor obstructed; Low water pressure.Replace batteries; Clean sensor lens; Check water supply and pressure.
