4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Multi-Device Switching (Easy-Switch)
The MK850 combo allows you to pair with up to three devices and switch between them seamlessly. Use the Easy-Switch buttons (labeled 1, 2, and 3) located on both the keyboard and the mouse.
- To switch to a paired device, simply press the corresponding Easy-Switch button (1, 2, or 3) on both the keyboard and the mouse. The LED indicator next to the selected number will illuminate to confirm the active connection.
- This feature allows you to type on your computer, then switch to your tablet or phone with a single press, and continue working.
4.2. Mouse Features
- Hyper-fast Scroll Wheel: The mouse features a hyper-fast scroll wheel. You can switch between precise click-to-click scrolling and ultra-fast scrolling by pressing the button located just below the scroll wheel. This is ideal for navigating long documents or web pages quickly.
- Customizable Buttons: The mouse includes custom buttons that can be programmed for various functions using Logitech Options software. This allows for personalized shortcuts and enhanced productivity.
4.3. Keyboard Features

5. Maintenance
5.1. Battery Replacement
The keyboard has an ultra-long battery life of up to 3 years, and the mouse up to 2 years, based on typical office use. When the battery indicator light on either device turns red, it's time to replace the batteries. Refer to Section 3.1 for battery installation instructions.
5.2. Cleaning
To clean your keyboard and mouse, use a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surfaces.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. Connectivity Issues
- Ensure both devices are turned on and have sufficient battery power.
- Verify that the Logitech Unifying receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port, or that Bluetooth is enabled and paired correctly on your device.
- Try moving the keyboard and mouse closer to the receiver or Bluetooth-enabled device to ensure they are within the 10m/30ft wireless range.
- Interference from other wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones) can affect connectivity. Try moving these devices further away.
- If using the Unifying receiver, try plugging it into a different USB port or using the provided USB extension cable.
6.2. Unresponsive Keys or Mouse Clicks
- Check battery levels and replace if necessary.
- Ensure the correct Easy-Switch channel (1, 2, or 3) is selected for the device you are trying to control.
- Restart your computer or device.
- If issues persist, try re-pairing the devices with the Unifying receiver or via Bluetooth.
