Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your bookcase. It is recommended to have a second person assist with certain steps for ease and safety.

Step 1: Prepare the Unit Base

Lay the main side panels and base pieces on a clean, flat, and soft surface to prevent scratching. Ensure all cam locks and dowels are correctly inserted into their designated holes.

Step 2: Attach the Back Panel

Before fastening the back panel, ensure your unit is squared up. Make equal spacing along all four edges of the back. Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it square. Secure the back panel using the provided nails or screws, following the pattern in your assembly booklet.

Step 3: Install Shelves

Insert the metal shelf pins into the desired holes on the interior sides of the bookcase. Place the adjustable shelves onto these pins. Ensure shelves are level and securely seated before placing items on them.

Step 4: Attach Doors and Adjust Hinges

Attach the doors to the lower cabinet using the provided hinges. Once attached, adjust the hinges to ensure proper door alignment. Hinges can be adjusted horizontally (left or right), vertically (up or down), and for depth (in or out) to achieve a flush and even appearance.

Operating Instructions

Adjusting Shelves

The open shelves of the bookcase are adjustable. To change a shelf's height, remove all items from the shelf, lift the shelf, and remove the metal pins. Reinsert the pins into the desired holes, ensuring they are at the same height on both sides, then place the shelf back onto the pins.

Using Cabinet Doors

The lower cabinet features two doors for concealed storage. Gently pull the handles to open the doors. To close, push the doors until they are flush with the cabinet frame. If doors do not close properly or are misaligned, refer to the hinge adjustment instructions in the Setup and Assembly section.

Maintenance

Cleaning and Care

To maintain the appearance and longevity of your bookcase, wipe it with a dry cloth regularly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the finish. Promptly clean up any spills to prevent staining.

Troubleshooting
