Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Turn Off Water and Power: Locate and turn off the main water supply valve to your sink. If there's an existing hot water dispenser, unplug it from the electrical outlet.
  2. Mount the Tank: Position the heating tank securely under the sink. Use the provided mounting hardware to attach it to the cabinet wall or floor, ensuring it is stable and level.
  3. Connect Water Lines: Connect the cold water supply line to the tank's inlet fitting. Connect the hot water outlet from the tank to your Franke hot water faucet. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks. Additional water supply hoses may be required depending on your existing plumbing setup.
  4. Flush the System: Before plugging in the unit, turn on the cold water supply to the sink. Open the hot water faucet and allow water to flow through the system for at least 2-3 minutes to purge air and flush out any debris. Close the hot water faucet once a steady stream of water is observed.
  5. Check for Leaks: Carefully inspect all connections for any signs of leaks. Tighten fittings as necessary.
  6. Connect Power: Plug the heating tank's power cord into a grounded 120V electrical outlet. The unit will begin to heat the water.

5. Operating Your Heating Tank

Initial Startup

After installation and plugging in the unit, allow approximately 15-20 minutes for the tank to heat the water to the factory preset temperature. The indicator light on the front of the unit will illuminate when heating.

Temperature Adjustment

The water temperature can be adjusted using the dial located on the front of the tank. Rotate the dial towards 'MAX' for hotter water (up to 194°F / 90°C) or 'MIN' for cooler water. Adjust the dial slowly and test the water temperature before use to avoid scalding.

Regular Cleaning
