Setup and Assembly
- Attach Foot Assemblies to Legs: Secure each foot assembly to the bottom of an adjustable leg assembly using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure the leveling feet are oriented downwards.
- Connect Leg Assemblies with Crossbar: Position the two assembled leg units. Attach the adjustable crossbar between the two leg assemblies using the appropriate hardware. Do not fully tighten the crossbar bolts at this stage to allow for width adjustment.
- Install Lathe Mounting Plates: Place the lathe mounting plates onto the top of each adjustable leg assembly. These plates provide the surface for your benchtop lathe. Secure them with the provided hardware.
- Adjust Height: Loosen the adjustment bolts on each leg. Raise or lower the leg sections to the desired working height (range: 24-1/2" to 34"). Ensure both legs are set to the same height for a level surface. Tighten all height adjustment bolts securely.
- Mount Lathe: Carefully place your benchtop lathe onto the mounting plates. Align the lathe's mounting holes with the slots on the stand's mounting plates. Adjust the crossbar width as needed to match your lathe's footprint (mounting pattern range: 18-1/2" x 4" to 38-1/2" x 6-1/2"). Secure the lathe to the stand using appropriate bolts, nuts, and washers (lathe mounting hardware typically supplied with the lathe, not the stand).
- Final Tightening and Leveling: Once the lathe is mounted and positioned, fully tighten all crossbar bolts. Adjust the leveling feet on the foot assemblies to ensure the entire stand and lathe are stable and level on your workshop floor.
