Setup: Molding Your Trays

Follow these steps carefully to mold your Auraglow trays for a custom fit:

  1. Step 1: Prepare Hot Water
Bring a cup of water to a low boil. Ensure there is enough water to fully submerge one tray.
  2. Step 2: Soften the Tray
Hold the first tray by the tab and dip it into the hot water for approximately 3-4 seconds. The tray will become soft and pliable.
  3. Step 3: Mold to Your Teeth
Remove the softened tray from the water. Carefully place it in your mouth and bite down gently, pressing the tray against your teeth with your fingers to create a precise impression.
  4. Step 4: Repeat for Second Tray
Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 for the second tray (for the other arch). If the fit is not satisfactory, you can re-dip the tray in hot water and mold it again. An extra set of trays is provided in case of errors.
  5. Step 5: Trim for Comfort
Once both trays are molded and cooled, you can trim off the front tabs using scissors. You may also trim any excess material around the edges for a more comfortable and precise fit.

Operating: Using Your Trays

Once your trays are molded, they are ready for use with your preferred teeth whitening gel (such as Auraglow teeth whitening gel, sold separately).

  1. Apply Whitening Gel
Carefully apply a thin line of whitening gel into the front surface of each molded tray, ensuring even distribution. Avoid overfilling to prevent gel from contacting gums.
  2. Insert Trays
Place the trays onto your upper and lower teeth, pressing gently to ensure the gel makes full contact with your tooth surfaces.
  3. Wear Time
Wear the trays for the duration recommended by your specific whitening gel product. Typically, this ranges from 15 to 30 minutes per session.
  4. Remove and Rinse
After the recommended time, remove the trays and rinse your mouth thoroughly with water to remove any residual gel.

Maintenance

Proper care of your trays will ensure their longevity and hygiene:

  • Cleaning
After each use, rinse the trays thoroughly with cool water to remove any remaining whitening gel. You may use a soft toothbrush and mild soap if necessary, but avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Drying
Allow the trays to air dry completely before storing them.
  • Storage
Store the clean, dry trays in the provided retainer case to protect them from dust and damage. Keep the case in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

  • Trays do not fit properly after molding: If the trays do not provide a snug fit, re-dip them in hot water for 3-4 seconds and repeat the molding process. Ensure you press firmly against your teeth to capture a clear impression. You have an extra set of trays if needed.
  • Excessive gel contact with gums or sensitivity: This product is for the trays only. If you experience gum irritation or tooth sensitivity, reduce the amount of whitening gel used or consult the instructions provided with your specific whitening gel product. If symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult a dental professional.
  • Trays feel bulky: The Auraglow trays feature a 20% slimmer design. If they still feel bulky, ensure you have trimmed any excess material as described in Step 5 of the molding instructions.
