Insert a non-magnetic feeler gauge (typically 0.008 - 0.012 inches or 0.20 - 0.30 mm, refer to your engine manual for exact specification) between the coil's legs and the flywheel magnet. Push the coil firmly against the feeler gauge, then tighten the mounting bolts securely. Remove the feeler gauge.
7. Reconnect Wires: Reconnect the low-tension wires to the new coil. Ensure connections are secure.
8. Connect Spark Plug Wire: Attach the spark plug wire from the new coil to the spark plug.
9. Reassemble: Reinstall any shrouds or covers that were removed.
