  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The Power indicator light will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

1. Making a Custom Bag from a Roll

  1. Open the Lid: Pull the handle and open the machine lid, keeping it open.
  2. Position the Roll: Place the roll bag into the roll chamber, lift the cutter lever, and pull the roll bag out from under the cutter lever. The length of the bag can be customized according to the size of the food.
  3. Cut the Bag: Press down the cutter lever, press down the cutter from left to right or right to left and slide the cutter to cut the bag.
  4. Seal One End: Select one end of the bag, place it on the heating wire of the machine. Fasten the lid of the machine, and complete the "locking the upper lid" action (open the handle, and then fasten the handle). Make sure the top lid is locked, otherwise you won't get a perfect seal.
  5. Press "SEAL": After confirming that the machine cover has been locked, press the "SEAL" button.
  6. Retrieve Bag: After the countdown finishes, pull the handle to unlock the upper cover, lift the upper cover, and take out the bag with one end sealed.

  2. Position Bag: Keep the machine handle open. Place the mouth of the bag into the vacuum tank, leaving a sealing distance of at least 2 inches between the contents and the top of the bag.
  3. Close and Lock: Close the cover and snap the handle to ensure the machine is locked.
  4. Select Mode: Select the "Dry" mode.
  5. Vacuum & Seal: Press "Vacuum & Seal" to start. The machine will automatically vacuum the air and then seal the bag.

3. Vacuum Sealing Moist/Liquid Food

  1. Prepare Bag: Use a pre-made bag or a custom bag with one end sealed. Place the moist or liquid food inside the bag, ensuring the open end is clean and dry. For liquids, it is recommended to freeze them partially or leave extra space to prevent liquid from being drawn into the vacuum channel.
  2. Position Bag: Keep the machine handle open. Place the mouth of the bag into the vacuum tank, leaving a sealing distance of at least 2 inches between the contents and the top of the bag.
  3. Close and Lock: Close the cover and snap the handle to ensure the machine is locked.
  4. Select Mode: Select the "Moist" mode.
  5. Vacuum & Seal: Press "Vacuum & Seal" to start. Monitor the vacuum process closely. If liquid starts to rise towards the sealing area, press the "Seal" button immediately to stop vacuuming and initiate sealing.
  6. Retrieve Food: Open the handle to unlock the upper cover and take out the packaged food.

  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
  • Sealing Strip: Ensure the sealing strip is clean and free of food debris for an effective seal.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer, please refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • No Vacuum: Ensure the lid is properly closed and locked. Check that the bag is correctly positioned within the vacuum channel and that there are no wrinkles in the bag opening.
  • Poor Seal: Verify the sealing strip is clean and dry. Ensure the bag material is compatible with the FoodSaver system. Allow the machine to cool down between multiple seals if the seal appears weak.
  • Liquid in Vacuum Channel: For moist foods, use the "Moist" setting or manually press "Seal" before liquid reaches the sealing area. Clean the drip tray immediately.
  • Appliance Not Turning On: Check the power cord connection and ensure the outlet is functional.
