5. Installation

Your GETINLIGHT under cabinet fixture can be installed either as a hardwired unit or a plugged-in unit. Both methods are straightforward and include necessary components.

5.1. Hardwired Installation

1. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker.
2. Remove the end cap screws and the cover plate to access the wiring compartment.
3. Punch out the desired knockout hole (located every 4 inches, except for 9-inch and 12-inch models which have one).
4. Install the provided strain relief into the knockout hole.
5. Feed the electrical supply wires through the strain relief.
6. Connect the fixture wires to the supply wires using appropriate wire connectors (black to black, white to white, ground to ground).
7. Secure the fixture to the underside of the cabinet using the provided wood screws through the mounting holes.
8. Replace the cover plate and end cap screws.

5.2. Plugged-in Installation

1. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker for the outlet you will use.
2. Connect the provided 6 ft. cord and plug into the input port of the fixture.
3. Secure the fixture to the underside of the cabinet using the provided wood screws through the mounting holes.
4. Plug the fixture into a suitable electrical outlet.

5.3. Linking Multiple Units

You can link up to 20 units to a single power supply. Use the 6-inch linking cord for connections between fixtures or the end-to-end connector for flush connections.
