1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the ENKI Windsor SH0155 Thermostatic Shower System. This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new shower system. Please read these instructions carefully before installation and retain them for future reference.
2. Safety Information
- Installation should be performed by a qualified professional plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Ensure the main water supply is turned off before commencing any installation or maintenance work.
- Always test water temperature before use to prevent scalding, especially for children and the elderly.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials on the shower system, as this may damage the finish.
- The anti-scald device is integrated to prevent sudden temperature fluctuations. If the cold water supply fails, the shower will automatically shut off.
3. Package Contents
Please check that all components are present and undamaged before beginning installation:
- 1 x Thermostatic Dual Shower Valve
- 1 x Rigid Riser Rail
- 1 x 200mm Rain Shower Head
- Installation hardware (screws, wall plugs, seals)
4. Setup & Installation
4.1 Pre-Installation Requirements
- Water Pressure: Minimum required water pressure is 0.5 bar. For optimal performance, a minimum of 1.0 bar is recommended.
- Plumbing System: Suitable for all plumbing systems. Note: The shower valve will not operate effectively on a gravity-fed tank system unless a booster pump is installed.
- Connections: 1/2 inch hot/cold inlets. The distance between connections should be 147-153 mm.
4.2 Installation Steps
- Prepare the Area: Ensure the wall surface is clean, flat, and capable of supporting the shower system's weight. Turn off the main water supply.
- Mount the Thermostatic Valve: Position the valve at the desired height. Mark and drill holes for mounting. Secure the valve to the wall, ensuring the hot water supply is connected to the left inlet and cold water to the right inlet (typically marked). The connection distance is 147-153mm.
- Install the Rigid Riser Rail: Assemble the riser rail components. The riser rail can be cut to the desired length to achieve the perfect shower head height. Secure the riser rail to the wall using the provided brackets and hardware.
- Attach the Shower Head: Screw the 200mm rain shower head onto the riser arm. Ensure all connections are tight and sealed with PTFE tape where necessary.
- Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply and check all connections for leaks. Rectify any leaks before proceeding.

5. Operating Instructions
The ENKI Windsor SH0155 features a dual-control thermostatic valve:
- Temperature Control: One handle controls the water temperature. Rotate it to adjust the temperature to your preference. The thermostatic cartridge maintains a constant temperature, preventing sudden changes.
- Water Flow Control: The other handle controls the water flow. Rotate it to turn the shower on/off and adjust the intensity of the water flow.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: To maintain the antique bronze finish, clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or chemical cleaning agents, as these can damage the surface.
- Limescale: In hard water areas, limescale may build up on the shower head nozzles. Gently rub the silicone nozzles to dislodge any deposits. For stubborn build-up, use a mild limescale remover specifically designed for bathroom fixtures, following the manufacturer's instructions, and rinse thoroughly.
- General Care: Periodically check all connections for tightness and signs of wear.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low water flow | Low water pressure; Blocked shower head nozzles; Partially closed isolation valves. | Check household water pressure; Clean shower head nozzles; Ensure isolation valves are fully open. |
| Water temperature fluctuates | Inconsistent hot/cold water supply; Thermostatic cartridge issue. | Ensure stable hot and cold water pressure; If problem persists, contact a qualified plumber to inspect/replace the thermostatic cartridge. |
| Leaking from connections | Loose connections; Damaged seals/washers. | Turn off water supply, tighten connections; Replace any damaged seals or washers. |
| No water flow | Main water supply off; Blockage in pipes. | Check if main water supply is on; Consult a plumber for pipe inspection. |
