1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Generic Nordic Inverter IVT Remote Control. This remote is designed to be compatible with various SHARP IVT Air Conditioner models, specifically replacing CRMC-A768JBEZ and CRMC-A669JBEZ units. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards or press the latch to open it.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Batteries are not included with the remote control. Always use new batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly.

2.2 Compatibility Check

This remote control is a direct replacement for SHARP IVT Air Conditioner remote models CRMC-A768JBEZ and CRMC-A669JBEZ. No programming is typically required. Simply insert batteries, and the remote should function with compatible air conditioner units.

3. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the air conditioner's receiver when operating. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit.

3.1 Button Functions

  • O I (Power Button): Turns the air conditioner ON or OFF.
  • MODE: Cycles through operating modes (e.g., Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto).

  • SWING: Controls the louver swing direction.
  • TIMER ON/OFF: Sets the timer for the air conditioner to turn ON or OFF automatically.
  • SLEEP: Activates the sleep mode for comfortable night operation.
  • SET/C: Used for confirming settings or changing temperature units (Celsius/Fahrenheit).

3.2 Basic Operation

  1. Turning On/Off: Press the O I button once to turn the unit on, and again to turn it off.
  2. Selecting Mode: Press the MODE button repeatedly until the desired operating mode appears on the remote's display.
  3. Adjusting Temperature: Use the (Up) or (Down) buttons to set your preferred temperature.
  4. Setting Fan Speed: Press the FAN button to cycle through available fan speeds.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's display becomes dim or the remote fails to operate the air conditioner consistently. Refer to Section 2.1 for battery installation instructions. It is recommended to replace both batteries simultaneously.

4.2 Cleaning

Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical solvents, as these may damage the remote's surface or internal components.

4.3 Storage

If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the device.
