5. Setup
5.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Inspect for any damage. Ensure all components listed in the "Package Contents" section are present.
5.2 Fueling the Heater
Always fill the heater outdoors or in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes. Ensure the heater is cool before fueling.
- Unscrew the fuel tank cap.
- Insert the provided funnel into the fuel opening.
- Use the siphon pump to transfer 1-K grade kerosene from your fuel container into the heater's tank. Fill the tank over half full, but do not overfill. The fuel gauge will indicate the level.
- Securely replace the fuel tank cap.
- For first use, allow the wick to absorb the kerosene for at least 30 minutes before attempting to ignite. This ensures proper saturation and prevents damage to the wick.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Ignition
- Ensure the wick is fully saturated with kerosene (after 30 minutes for first use).
- Rotate the adjustment knob clockwise until the wick is fully raised and stops.
- Press the ignition button or use a lighter/match to ignite the wick directly.
- Once the wick is lit, quickly cover it with the burner cylinder and allow the flame to stabilize.
6.2 Flame Adjustment
After the heater is fully burning, adjust the knob to achieve an optimal flame. A proper flame should be steady and blue at the base, with a yellow tip, without excessive smoke or odor. Avoid flames that are too high or too low.
6.3 Cooking Function (Optional)
The top surface of the heater can be used as a cooktop. Place a stove riser stand (if included or purchased separately) on top of the heater to efficiently heat and keep kettles or pots warm. Ensure the pot or kettle is stable and does not obstruct airflow.
6.4 Extinguishing the Heater
- To extinguish the flame, turn the adjustment knob counterclockwise all the way down.
- For emergency shut-off, press the emergency fire extinguisher switch (if available on your model) to quickly lower the wick and extinguish the flame.
Video 3: Heater Operation and Extinguishing. This video demonstrates the full operational cycle, including igniting the wick, adjusting the flame, using a stove riser, and safely extinguishing the heater using the knob and emergency switch.
Video 4: Ignition and Flame Control. This video shows the ignition process, how to adjust the flame for optimal burning, and the use of the emergency flame shut-off feature.
7. Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the heater clean from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for exterior cleaning.
- Wick Maintenance: Periodically inspect the wick for wear or charring. A properly maintained wick ensures efficient burning and reduces odor. Refer to the full manual for detailed wick replacement instructions.
- Fuel Storage: Store kerosene in a clean, approved container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Heater won't ignite | No kerosene, wick not raised, igniter issue | Check fuel level, raise wick fully, check igniter battery/function |
| Smell or smoke | Improper fuel, dirty wick, poor ventilation | Ensure 1-K kerosene, clean/replace wick, increase ventilation |
| Heater shuts off unexpectedly | Tip-over switch activated, low fuel | Ensure heater is stable, refill fuel tank |
