This kit provides a replacement battery for the Liebert PowerSure PST PA350-120U Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). It includes one (1) 12V 5Ah sealed lead acid (SLA) battery, specifically designed to meet or exceed the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications for the OR-1250 battery. These are high-rate (HR) series AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) SLAs, rigorously tested to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.

Setup and Installation

7. Secure Battery: Place the new battery securely within the compartment.
8. Close Compartment: Close and secure the battery compartment cover.
9. Reconnect UPS: Plug the UPS back into the wall outlet and reconnect your devices.
10. Initial Charge: Allow the UPS to charge the new battery for at least 8-12 hours before relying on it for backup power.

Operating Characteristics

The OR-1250HR battery is a sealed lead acid battery designed for standby power applications, such as in UPS systems. It is a valve-regulated, rechargeable battery.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Keep battery terminals clean and free of corrosion. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the battery if necessary.
• Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, ensure it is fully charged and recharge it periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) to prevent deep discharge.

Troubleshooting

If your UPS does not function correctly after battery replacement, consider the following:

• No Power/UPS Not Turning On:
  • Verify that the UPS is plugged into a live AC outlet.
  • Check all battery connections to ensure they are secure and correctly polarized (positive to positive, negative to negative).
  • Allow the battery to charge for several hours. A completely discharged new battery may require an initial charge before the UPS can power on.
  • Ensure the UPS's power button is pressed correctly.
• Short Runtime:
  • The battery may not be fully charged. Allow more charging time.
  • The load connected to the UPS might exceed its capacity. Reduce the connected load.
  • Battery life can be affected by operating temperature. Ensure adequate ventilation around the UPS.
• Unusual Odor or Swelling:
  • Immediately disconnect the UPS from power and discontinue use. This indicates a serious battery issue. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician.
