4. Maintenance and Cleaning

4.1 Cleaning the Anti-Scale Filter

The removable anti-scale filter, located behind the pour spout, helps prevent mineral buildup from entering your beverages. To clean it:

  1. Ensure the kettle is unplugged and completely cool.
  2. Open the lid and carefully remove the filter.
  3. Rinse the filter under running water and gently brush away any mineral deposits.
  4. For stubborn buildup, soak the filter in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water for 15-30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  5. Reinsert the clean filter into its position behind the spout.

4.2 Descaling the Kettle

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain performance.

  1. Fill the kettle with 2 cups of white vinegar and 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
  4. If necessary, repeat the process until all deposits are removed.

4.3 Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish. Ensure the kettle and power base are completely dry before storing or using again.
