4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The PRA 20G requires two AA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the receiver. Insert the batteries according to the polarity markings (+/-). Close the cover securely.

4.2 Mounting the Receiver

The PRA 20G can be mounted on a measuring staff or tripod using the integrated clamp. Ensure the receiver is securely fastened and vertically aligned using the bubble level for accurate readings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

Press the Power Button (circular button with 'I' symbol) to turn the receiver on. Press and hold the same button for approximately 2 seconds to turn it off.

5.2 Detecting the Laser Beam

Once powered on, position the receiver so that the laser reception window faces the rotating laser. Move the receiver up or down until the arrow indicators on the digital display converge to a solid line, indicating the exact laser plane. The display will show the offset from the laser plane.

5.3 Audio Feedback

Press the Audio Feedback Button (speaker icon) to enable or disable audible signals. A continuous tone indicates the receiver is precisely on the laser plane, while intermittent tones indicate it is above or below.

5.4 Fine Adjustment

Use the Fine Adjustment Buttons (up/down triangles) to precisely align the receiver with the laser plane, especially when working with a measuring staff.

6. Maintenance

  • Clean the device regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the laser reception window clean and free from dust or debris.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Store the device in its original case or a protective bag to prevent damage.
