1. Overview

The Official HD Mirror Cam is a versatile dashboard camera designed to seamlessly integrate with your vehicle's rearview mirror. 2. What's in the Box

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your HD Mirror Cam in your vehicle:

1. Attach to Rearview Mirror: Use the two included rubber strap bands to securely attach the HD Mirror Cam over your existing rearview mirror. Ensure the camera lens faces forward and the unit is centered for optimal viewing.

2. Insert Micro SD Card: Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the HD Mirror Cam. Gently insert the provided 8GB Micro SD card until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted correctly to avoid damage.
3. Connect Power: Plug the vehicle power cable into the power input port on the HD Mirror Cam. Then, plug the other end of the cable into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
4. Route Cable: Carefully route the power cable along the windshield trim and dashboard to keep it tidy and out of the way. Use the included mounting clips if necessary to secure the cable.
5. Adjust Camera Lens: The camera lens can rotate 350 degrees. Adjust the lens to ensure it captures the desired view of the road ahead. For interior recording, rotate the lens towards the cabin.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

• Automatic Ignition Start: The HD Mirror Cam is designed to automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on.
• Automatic Shut-off: The unit will automatically power off and stop recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned off.
• Manual Power: You can manually power the unit on or off by pressing and holding the power button located on the bottom of the mirror.

4.2 Video Recording

The HD Mirror Cam records in 720P HD resolution with crystal clear audio. It features a 120-degree wide-angle lens to capture a broad view of the road.

• Loop Recording: The camera continuously records in segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes). When the Micro SD card is full, the oldest unlocked files are automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings.
• Motion Detection: When enabled, the camera will automatically start recording if it detects motion in front of the lens while the vehicle is parked.
• G-Sensor (Impact Detection): In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-Sensor will automatically save and lock the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.

4.3 Photo Mode

The HD Mirror Cam can also capture still images. Press the 'Mode' button to switch to Photo Mode. Press the 'OK' button to take a photo.

4.4 Playback and Viewing Footage

You can instantly playback recorded videos and view photos directly on the 2.5-inch LCD screen. Press the 'Mode' button to cycle through video playback and photo viewing modes. Use the navigation buttons to select files and the 'OK' button to play/view.

For viewing footage on a computer, remove the Micro SD card from the unit and insert it into the provided USB Micro SD card reader. Connect the card reader to your computer's USB port to access the files.

• Screen Shut Off Mode: To minimize distraction while driving, you can activate the screen shut-off mode. The camera will continue recording even when the screen is off. Press any button to reactivate the screen.
