- The appliance and its individual shutoff valve must be disconnected from the gas supply piping system during any pressure testing of that system at test pressures in excess of 1/2 psig (3.45 kPa).
- The appliance must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its individual manual shutoff valve during any pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at test pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psig (3.45 kPa).

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your Asber fryer.
Initial Startup
- Ensure the fry pot is clean and free of debris.
- Fill the fry pot with cooking oil to the indicated fill line. Do not overfill or underfill.
- Open the main gas supply valve to the unit.
- Turn the millivolt control knob to the 'PILOT' position.
- Ignite the pilot light according to the instructions on the control panel. Hold the knob in for a few seconds after ignition.
- Once the pilot is lit, turn the control knob to the desired temperature setting. The main burners will ignite.
Daily Operation
- Allow the oil to reach the set temperature before placing food in the baskets.
- Use the provided twin baskets for frying. Do not overload the baskets.
- The millivolt controls maintain the oil temperature between 200°F to 425°F.
- The safety shut-off system will automatically shut off 100% gas when the temperature reaches the hi-limit.
Shutting Down
- Turn the temperature control knob to the 'OFF' position.
- Close the main gas supply valve to the unit.
- Allow the oil to cool completely before draining or cleaning.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance and cleaning will extend the life of your fryer and ensure optimal performance.
Daily Cleaning
- After the oil has cooled, drain the oil using the 1-1/4" drain valve.
- Remove the chrome mesh crumb screen and clean it.
