2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup

4.1 Connecting Power

  1. Unpack the Denver CRP-515 alarm clock and its power adapter.
  2. Insert the small plug of the AC adapter into the DC IN jack located on the back of the unit.
  3. Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet (AC 230V, 50Hz).
  4. The LED display will light up, indicating the unit is powered on.

4.2 Initial Time Setting

Upon first power-up or after a power interruption, the time may need to be set.

  1. Press and hold the TIME SET button. The hour digits will begin to flash.
  2. Press the HOUR button repeatedly to adjust the hour.
  3. Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to adjust the minute.
  4. Press TIME SET again to confirm and exit time setting mode.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Setting Alarms (Dual Alarm)

The CRP-515 features two independent alarms.

  1. Press and hold the ALARM 1 button. The alarm hour digits will flash.
  2. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired alarm time for Alarm 1.
  3. Press ALARM 1 again to select the alarm source (Buzzer or Radio). An indicator will show the selected source.
  4. Press ALARM 1 once more to confirm and activate Alarm 1. An alarm icon will appear on the display.
  5. Repeat the process using the ALARM 2 button to set the second alarm.

5.2 FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the RADIO/FM button to turn on the FM radio. The frequency will appear on the display.
  2. Manual Tuning: Press the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons briefly to adjust the frequency step by step.
  3. Automatic Scan: Press and hold the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to automatically scan for the next available station.
  4. Adjusting Volume: Use the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons to adjust the sound level.
  5. Saving Presets: While listening to a station, press and hold the MEMORY button. Use TUNE + or TUNE - to select a preset number, then press MEMORY again to save.
  6. Recalling Presets: Briefly press the MEMORY button, then use TUNE + or TUNE - to cycle through saved stations.
  7. To turn off the radio, press the RADIO/FM button again.

5.3 Time Projection Feature

The alarm clock can project the current time onto a wall or ceiling.

  • Activating Projection: Press the PROJECTION button to turn the projection on or off.
  • 180° Rotation: Rotate the projection lens (usually located on the top or side) to adjust the projection angle by up to 180 degrees for optimal viewing.
  • Focus Adjustment: Use the FOCUS wheel or knob (typically near the projection lens) to sharpen the projected image.

5.4 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/SLEEP button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.

5.5 Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows you to fall asleep to the radio, which will automatically turn off after a set period.

  1. While the radio is playing, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep timer durations (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
  2. The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time.

5.6 Display Brightness

To adjust the brightness of the LED display, press the DIMMER button (if available) or the TIME SET button briefly when not in setting mode. Cycle through different brightness levels.

6. Maintenance

To maintain your alarm clock in good condition:

  • Disconnect the power adapter before cleaning.
  • Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the projection lens clean for a clear image.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power / Display Off:
    • Ensure the AC adapter is securely plugged into both the unit and a working wall outlet.
    • Check if the power outlet is functional.
  • Alarm Not Sounding:
    • Verify that the alarm is activated (alarm icon visible on display).
    • Check if the alarm time is correctly set.
    • Ensure the volume for radio alarm is not set to minimum.
  • Poor Radio Reception:
    • Extend the FM antenna fully.
    • Adjust the position of the unit for better reception.
    • Move away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Projected Time is Blurry:
    • Adjust the FOCUS wheel/knob on the projection lens until the image is clear.
    • Ensure the projection lens is clean.
