Introduction

The beFree Sound Projection Party Light Dome Sub-woofer Bluetooth Portable Party Speaker (Model BFS-3800) is designed to deliver powerful sound and an engaging light show. This versatile speaker can be used for various settings, offering both high-quality audio and dynamic visual effects. It features a 6.5-inch subwoofer, a 4" x 2.5" LED Light Projection Dome, FM Radio, USB and SD card inputs, and includes a remote control and wireless microphone for enhanced functionality.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed in "What's in the Box" are present.
  2. Power Connection:
    • Locate the AC input on the rear panel of the speaker.
    • Connect the provided power cord to the AC input and then to a standard electrical outlet (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz).
    • Ensure the power switch on the rear panel is in the "OFF" position before connecting.

  3. Microphone Setup:
    • Insert 2 AA batteries (not included) into the wireless microphone.
    • The microphone connects wirelessly to the speaker.
  4. Remote Control Setup:
    • Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control.
  5. Positioning: Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

Operating Instructions

General Operation

  1. Power On/Off: Flip the "POWER" switch on the rear panel to the "ON" position to turn on the speaker. Flip to "OFF" to power down.
  2. Volume Control: Use the large red "VOLUME" knob on the control panel to adjust the overall sound output.
  3. Light Dome Control: The "LED POWER" switch on the rear panel controls the light projection dome. Turn it "ON" for the light show, or "OFF" if not desired.
  4. Equalizer (EQ) Adjustment: Use the slider controls on the control panel to adjust Treble and Bass levels for desired sound quality.

Input Modes

The speaker supports multiple audio input modes, selectable via the "INPUT" button on the control panel or remote.

  1. Bluetooth Mode:
    • Switch the speaker to Bluetooth mode. The display will show "BLUE".
    • On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
    • Select "beFree Sound" (or similar name) from the list to pair. A confirmation tone will sound upon successful connection.
    • You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device.
  2. FM Radio Mode:
    • Switch the speaker to FM Radio mode.
    • Use the "PREV" and "NEXT" buttons to scan for radio stations.
    • The remote control may offer additional tuning options.
  3. USB/SD Card Mode:
    • Insert a USB flash drive or SD card (with compatible audio files) into the respective input slots on the control panel.
    • The speaker will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playing audio.
    • Use the "PLAY/PAUSE", "PREV", and "NEXT" buttons to control playback.
  4. AUX Input Mode:
    • Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop) to the "AUDIO INPUT" (AUX) jacks on the control panel using the provided AUX cable.
    • Switch the speaker to AUX mode.
    • Control playback from your connected external device.
  5. Microphone Usage:
    • Plug a wired microphone into the "MIC" input or use the included wireless microphone.
    • Adjust the "MIC VOLUME" knob to control the microphone's loudness.
    • Use the "ECHO" knob to add an echo effect to the microphone's sound.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the speaker's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in the remote control and wireless microphone as needed. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the speaker's vents are not blocked to prevent overheating.
