1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
  2. Insert one (1) AA battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align with the markings inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Setting the Time

  1. After installing the battery, locate the time setting knob on the back of the clock (refer to Figure 2).
  2. Gently turn the knob in either direction until the hour and minute hands indicate the correct time.
  3. Ensure the hands are not obstructed and move freely.

4.3. Placement Options

The Karlsson 7073 clock is versatile and can be placed in two ways:

  • Desk/Shelf Placement: The clock is designed with a stable base that allows it to stand upright on any flat surface, such as a desk, shelf, or mantelpiece.
  • Wall Mounting: For wall mounting, use the integrated hanging slot located on the back of the clock mechanism (refer to Figure 2). Ensure you use an appropriate screw or hook securely fastened to the wall, capable of supporting the clock's weight.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the battery is installed and the time is set, the clock will begin to operate automatically. The analog hands will continuously display the current time.

  • Time Adjustment: If the time needs to be adjusted (e.g., for daylight saving time or after a power interruption), simply repeat the steps in Section 4.2.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

To clean the clock, gently wipe the glass and wood effect surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

6.2. Battery Replacement

When the clock hands stop moving or start to slow down, it is an indication that the battery needs to be replaced. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 4.1 to replace the AA battery. Always replace with a fresh, high-quality AA battery.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Karlsson 7073 clock, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
