Setup

  1. Initial Charging: Before first use, connect the speaker to a power outlet using the AC power cable. The "Charge" indicator will light red. Allow the unit to fully charge until the indicator turns blue. This may take several hours.
  2. Battery Installation:
    • Remote Control: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert 2 x AAA batteries, observing polarity (+/-).
    • Wireless Microphone: Open the battery compartment on the microphone and insert 2 x AA batteries, observing polarity (+/-).
  3. Placement: Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

To turn the speaker ON or OFF, use the main Power Switch located on the rear panel of the unit.

Mode Selection

Press the MODE button on the control panel to cycle through available input modes: Bluetooth, FM Radio, USB, SD, and Line In.

Bluetooth Operation

  1. Turn on the speaker and select Bluetooth mode using the MODE button. The display will show "BLUE" and the speaker will enter pairing mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
  3. Search for "beFree Sound" or "BFS-5501" in your device's Bluetooth settings.
  4. Select the speaker to pair. Once paired, you will hear a confirmation sound.
  5. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.

USB/SD Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or SD/MMC/MS card into the corresponding slot on the control panel.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playing compatible audio files. If not, press the MODE button to select the correct input.
  3. Use the PREV/EQ, PLAY/PAUSE, and NEXT/MODE buttons to control playback.

FM Radio Operation

  1. Extend the antenna located on the rear panel for optimal reception.
  2. Press the MODE button to select FM Radio mode.
  3. Long press the PLAY/PAUSE button to auto-scan and save available FM stations.
  4. Use the PREV/EQ and NEXT/MODE buttons to navigate between saved stations.

Microphone and Guitar Input

  1. Connect a wired microphone to the MIC1 or MIC2 input, or a guitar to the GUITAR INPUT on the control panel.
  2. For the wireless microphone, ensure batteries are installed and the microphone is powered on.
  3. Adjust the microphone volume using the M.VOL knob.
  4. Use the ECHO knob to add an echo effect to the microphone sound.

Audio Adjustments

Use the TREBLE and BASS knobs on the control panel to fine-tune the sound output to your preference.

Reactive Party Lights

The reactive party lights on the subwoofers can be turned ON or OFF using the dedicated Light Switch located on the rear panel of the speaker.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the speaker. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: If the remote control or wireless microphone will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
