4. Setup

  1. Unpack the Clipper: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain the packaging for storage or future transport.
  2. Inspect the Clipper: Check the clipper and its accessories for any signs of damage. Ensure the blades are clean and properly aligned.
  3. Voltage Check: Confirm that your electrical outlet voltage matches the clipper's specified voltage (220V~60Hz). Connecting to an incorrect voltage can damage the appliance.
  4. Attach a Guide Comb: Select the desired guide comb for your preferred hair length. Hold the comb with the teeth facing up and slide it firmly onto the clipper blade until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely attached before use.
  5. Initial Lubrication: Before first use, apply a few drops of the included lubricating oil to the blades. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to distribute the oil. Wipe off any excess oil.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective hair cutting:

  1. Prepare Hair: Ensure hair is clean and dry. For best results, comb the hair to remove any tangles.
  2. Select Comb Length: Choose one of the five guide combs (3mm, 6mm, 13mm, 19mm, 25mm) based on the desired hair length. Attach it securely to the clipper blades.
  3. Power On: Plug the clipper into a 220V electrical outlet. Turn the clipper ON using the power switch.
  4. Cutting Technique:
    • Always cut against the direction of hair growth.
    • Use slow, even strokes. Do not force the clipper through the hair.
    • For longer lengths, start with a larger guide comb and gradually switch to smaller combs if a shorter cut is desired.
    • For blending, use a rocking motion, lifting the clipper away from the head as you reach the desired blend point.
    • The clipper's high-precision, self-sharpening blades are designed to cut all human hair types efficiently and quietly.
  5. Edging and Detailing: For precise edging around the ears, neckline, and sideburns, remove the guide comb. Use the bare blades carefully, holding the clipper at an angle.
  6. Power Off: Once finished, turn the clipper OFF and unplug it from the electrical outlet.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your clipper.

  1. Cleaning Blades: After each use, remove any hair clippings from the blades using the provided cleaning brush. For thorough cleaning, you may remove the blades (refer to specific instructions if available, otherwise clean carefully while attached).
  2. Oiling Blades: After cleaning, apply 2-3 drops of WAHL clipper oil across the top of the blades. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to allow the oil to penetrate. This lubricates the blades and prevents rust. Do not use hair oil, grease, or any oil mixed with kerosene or solvent, as these will evaporate and slow down the blades.
  3. Blade Protector: Always place the blade protector over the blades when the clipper is not in use. This protects the blades from damage and keeps them clean.
  4. Storage: Store the clipper and its accessories in a dry, cool place, out of reach of children.
