4.1 Wiring Connections
Proper wiring is crucial for the correct operation of your XDM280BT receiver. Refer to the wiring diagram below and your vehicle's wiring schematic to ensure all connections are made accurately. It is highly recommended to use a vehicle-specific wiring harness adapter to avoid cutting your car's original wiring.
- Power (Yellow): Connect to a constant +12V power source.
- Accessory (Red): Connect to a +12V switched power source (ignition).
- Ground (Black): Connect to a clean chassis ground point.
- Antenna/Amplifier Turn-On (Blue): Connect to your vehicle's power antenna or external amplifier remote turn-on lead.

4.2 Mounting the Unit

Bend the metal tabs on the mounting sleeve to firmly hold it in place. Once the sleeve is secure, slide the receiver into the sleeve until it clicks into position.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Controls
- Power/Volume Knob: Press to turn the unit ON/OFF. Rotate to adjust the volume level.
- MODE Button: Press to cycle through available audio sources (Tuner, CD, USB, Bluetooth, AUX).
- BAND/AMS Button: In Tuner mode, press to select radio bands (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2). Press and hold for Automatic Memory Store.
- Track Skip Buttons (<< / >>): Press to skip tracks in media playback modes or tune radio stations.
- Display (DISP) Button: Press to change display information.
5.2 Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- Select the Bluetooth audio source on the XDM280BT using the MODE button. The unit will display "PAIRING".
- On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "XDM280BT".
- Once paired, the unit will confirm the connection, and you can begin streaming audio or making hands-free calls.
5.3 USB Playback and Charging
Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the front USB port. The unit will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playback. The USB port also provides 1 amp charging for compatible devices.
5.4 CD Playback
Gently insert an audio CD into the CD slot. The unit will automatically switch to CD mode and begin playback. Use the track skip buttons to navigate between songs.

Select Tuner mode using the MODE button. Use the track skip buttons to manually tune stations. Press and hold the track skip buttons to seek for the next strong station. Use the BAND/AMS button to select different radio bands and to automatically store strong stations.
