Follow these steps for effective paintless dent repair:

Step 1: Identify the Dent

  1. Use a line board (if available) to accurately locate and assess the dent. The reflection of the lines will distort over the dent, making it easier to identify.
  2. Mark the center of the dent with a washable marker.

Step 2: Apply Glue Tab

  1. Select an appropriate size glue tab for the dent. For small dents, use smaller tabs; for medium dents, larger tabs or multiple tabs may be needed.
  2. Apply a generous amount of hot melt glue evenly onto the head of the chosen glue tab.

Step 3: Use the Dent Puller

Choose between the Dent Lifter or the Bridge Puller based on the dent type and size:

Using the Dent Lifter:

  • Attach the dent lifter to the glue tab. The lifter's feet should rest firmly on the car's surface around the dent.
  • Slowly squeeze the handles of the dent lifter. This action will pull the glue tab upwards, gradually lifting the dent. Do not press the handle energetically; press slowly and operate multiple times.
  • Repeat this process, adjusting the position if necessary, until the dent is sufficiently reduced.

Using the Bridge Puller:

  • Place the bridge puller over the glue tab, ensuring the two outer feet are stable on the car's surface.
  • Thread the screw of the glue tab through the central hole of the bridge puller.
  • Slowly turn the nut on the screw clockwise. This will gradually pull the glue tab and lift the dent. Continue turning until the dent is reduced.

Step 4: Refine and Finish

  1. After pulling the dent, spray rubbing alcohol onto the glue and the glue tab.
  2. Use the plastic scraper to carefully remove the glue tab and any residual glue from the car's surface.
  3. If there are any high spots or small imperfections remaining, use the tap down pen and rubber hammer to gently tap them down until the surface is smooth.
