Safety Information
Your safety is paramount. Adhere to the following guidelines:
- Tree Strength: Ensure trees used for anchoring have a minimum strength of 3T (3 tons) and are healthy.
- Maximum Load: The slackline safely supports up to 300 lbs (136 kg). Do not exceed this weight limit.
- User Limit: Designed for a maximum of 1 person (150kg) at a time.
- Maximum Height: Set the slackline at a maximum height of 50 cm (approximately knee height) for beginners to minimize fall impact.
- Tree Protectors: Always use the provided tree protectors to prevent damage to trees and the slackline from abrasion.
- Ratchet Protector: Use the ratchet protector to cover the ratchet mechanism and protect your feet.
- Supervision: Children should always be supervised by an adult.
- Inspection: Before each use, inspect all components for wear, damage, or fraying. Do not use if any part is compromised.
Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your flybold Slackline Kit:
- Choose Anchor Points: Select two strong, healthy trees or secure posts that are approximately 57 feet (17.5 meters) apart. Ensure the trees have a minimum strength of 3 tons.
- Apply Tree Protectors: Wrap the wide tree protectors around each anchor point at the desired height. These protect both the tree bark and the slackline webbing from friction.
- Attach Main Slackline:
- Loop one end of the main slackline around one tree protector and secure it to the ratchet mechanism.
- Extend the slackline to the second tree.
- Wrap the other end of the slackline around the second tree protector and feed it through the second ratchet.

- Tension the Slackline:
- Ensure the ratchets are in the open position.
- Pull the slackline through the ratchet until most of the slack is removed.
- Operate the ratchet handle to apply tension. Continue ratcheting until the desired tautness is achieved, without over-tensioning.
- Once desired tension is achieved, lock the ratchet handle in the closed position.
- Install Ratchet Protector: Place the ratchet protector over the ratchet mechanism to cover it completely. This prevents accidental contact and protects the mechanism from elements.

- Set Up Training Line (Optional): For beginners, install the training line above the main slackline. This provides a handhold for balance. Use the arm trainer for additional support.
Operating Instructions
Using your slackline effectively involves practice and proper technique:
- Starting Position: Stand at one end of the slackline. Place one foot on the line, directly in front of the other. Keep your eyes focused on a fixed point at the end of the line or on a distant object.
- Balance: Use your arms for balance. The arm trainer can assist in maintaining stability. Keep your knees slightly bent and your core engaged.
- Walking: Take small, deliberate steps. Focus on shifting your weight smoothly from one foot to the other. It's normal for the line to wobble; learn to move with it.
- Training Line Use: If using the training line, hold onto it lightly for support. As your balance improves, gradually reduce your reliance on it.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance extends the life of your slackline kit:
- Cleaning: Clean the webbing with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store all components in the provided carry bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the webbing for cuts, fraying, or excessive wear. Check ratchets for rust or damage. Replace any damaged components immediately.
- Tree Protectors: Ensure tree protectors are clean and free of debris before and after use to maintain their effectiveness.
Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues:
- Slackline Not Taut Enough:
Ensure the webbing is properly threaded through the ratchet and that the ratchet is fully engaged. Apply more tension by ratcheting until the desired tautness is achieved, without over-tensioning.
- Slackline Twisting:
Ensure the webbing is laid flat and not twisted during setup. If it twists during use, it may indicate uneven tension or improper foot placement. Adjust your technique and re-tension if necessary.
- Difficulty Balancing:
Start with the slackline set at a lower height. Utilize the training line and arm trainer for support. Practice regularly, focusing on a fixed point and engaging your core. Balance improves with consistent practice.
