2. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the monitor to rain or moisture to prevent fire or electric shock.
  • Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Use only the power adapter supplied with the unit.

  • Multiple Inputs/Outputs: Supports 3G-SDI, HDMI, YPbPr, Video, Audio (L/R), DVI-I, and Tally inputs. Outputs include 3G-SDI, HDMI, and YPbPr.
  • Audio: Features a 3.5mm Stereo Headphone Jack and built-in speaker.

5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your SEETEC P133-9HSD monitor:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the monitor and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Mounting: Attach the U bracket to the monitor using the provided screws, or mount it to a compatible VESA mount (not included) if desired. Ensure the monitor is securely fastened.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the 1.5A DC Power Adapter to the monitor's DC input port. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet. Alternatively, attach a V-mount battery to the V Battery Plate for portable operation.
  4. Video Input: Connect your video source (e.g., camera, video switcher) to the desired input port (3G-SDI, HDMI, YPbPr, DVI-I, or Video) on the monitor using the appropriate cable.
  5. Audio Connection (Optional): If using external audio, connect headphones to the 3.5mm headphone jack or utilize the built-in speaker.
  6. Tally Connection (Optional): If using a tally system, connect the Tally Kit to the DB-9 port on the rear panel.

6. Operating the Monitor

This section outlines the basic operation and menu navigation of the P133-9HSD monitor.

6.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on the monitor, press the ON button located on the front panel.
  • To power off the monitor, press the OFF button.

6.2 Input Selection

Use the dedicated input buttons on the front panel to switch between video sources:

  • Press VGA for VGA input.
  • Press DVI for DVI-I input.
  • Press VIDEO for Video input.
  • Press YPbPr for YPbPr input.
  • Press HDMI for HDMI input.
  • Press SDI for 3G-SDI input.

6.3 OSD Menu Navigation

The monitor features an intuitive On-Screen Display (OSD) menu for adjusting settings.

  • Press the MENU/- button to enter the OSD menu.
  • Use the knob type coding switch (rotary encoder) to navigate through menu options and adjust values.
  • Press the ESC/+ button to exit a sub-menu or the OSD menu.
  • The four "F" keys (F1, F2, F3, F4) are customizable function buttons. You can assign frequently used features to these keys via the OSD menu for quick access.

7. Advanced Features

The P133-9HSD monitor includes several advanced features to assist with accurate exposure and focus during shooting. These can be accessed and configured through the OSD menu or assigned to the function keys.

  • Peaking Focus Assist: Highlights in-focus areas of the image with a red outline, making it easier to achieve sharp focus.
  • Center Marker: Displays a crosshair at the center of the screen for precise framing.
  • Screen Marker: Overlays various aspect ratio markers (e.g., 80%, 85%, 90%, 93%, 96%, 2.35:1) to assist with composition and safe areas.
  • Image Freeze: Pauses the current video frame for detailed analysis.
  • Image Flip (H, V, H/V): Flips the image horizontally, vertically, or both, useful for various mounting orientations.
  • Pixel-to-Pixel: Displays the image at its native resolution without scaling, allowing for 1:1 pixel mapping.
  • Check Field (Red, Green, Blue, Mono): Displays a monochrome image or a single color channel (Red, Green, or Blue) to aid in color calibration and exposure analysis.
  • Zoom All / U/D & L/R Zoom: Provides digital zoom capabilities for closer inspection of details.
  • Custom Color Temperature: Allows for fine-tuning of the display's color temperature.

8. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your monitor.

  • Cleaning the Screen: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-specific cleaning solution (do not spray directly onto the screen).
  • Cleaning the Casing: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the monitor's casing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the monitor in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the sunshade or a protective cover to prevent dust accumulation.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating.

9. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your SEETEC P133-9HSD monitor.

  • Ensure headphones are fully plugged into the 3.5mm jack.
  • Verify audio is enabled and working from your video source.
OSD menu not appearing
