Controls and Connections

  • Power Button: Press and hold to turn the speaker on or off.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Button: Press to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Volume Up/Down Buttons: Adjust the playback volume.
  • Play/Pause Button: Control audio playback.
  • USB Charging Port: For charging the internal battery.
  • Audio-in (AUX) Port: For connecting external audio devices via a 3.5mm cable.
  • LED Indicator: Displays power, charging, and Bluetooth status.

Setup

Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the USB charging port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the large end of the USB charging cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will show charging status. It will typically turn off or change color when fully charged.
  4. A full charge takes approximately 3-4 hours.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the LED indicator lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button again until the LED indicator turns off.

Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and within 10 meters (30 feet) of your Bluetooth device.
  2. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode when powered on for the first time, or if no device is connected. The LED indicator will flash rapidly.
  3. On your Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "Philips BT120" from the list of devices.
  5. Once paired, the LED indicator will glow solid blue, and you may hear an audible confirmation.
  6. If pairing fails, turn off the speaker and your device, then repeat the steps.

Audio-in (AUX) Connection

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio-in cable to the AUX port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, computer).
  3. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
  4. Control playback and volume from your connected device.

Volume Control

  • Press the Volume Up (+) button to increase the volume.
  • Press the Volume Down (-) button to decrease the volume.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene, or abrasives, as these may damage the casing.

Storage

  • Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for an extended period, charge the battery periodically to maintain its lifespan.
