Data Transfer

Once the drives are recognized and formatted by your operating system, you can drag and drop files to and from the enclosure like any other external drive. The USB 3.0 interface with UASP support ensures fast data transfer speeds.

Ejecting the Device

Always safely eject the device from your operating system before disconnecting the USB cable or powering off the enclosure to prevent data corruption.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

Device not detected by computer:
  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the enclosure is powered on.
  • Verify the USB cable is properly connected to both the enclosure and the computer.
  • Try a different USB port on your computer.
  • Test with a different USB cable if available.
  • Check Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS) to see if the disk is detected but uninitialized or unformatted.
Hard drives not recognized after RAID mode change:
  • Ensure you pressed and held the Confirmation Button (CFM BTN) after setting the RAID switches.
  • Remember that changing RAID modes requires re-initialization and re-formatting of the drives. Follow the "Initial Disk Setup" steps.
Slow data transfer speeds:
  • Ensure you are connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer. USB 2.0 ports will result in slower speeds.
  • Verify your operating system supports UASP (Windows 8/10 or macOS 10.8 and later).
  • The performance of the hard drives themselves can affect transfer speeds.
Enclosure fan is noisy:
  • Check for dust accumulation on the fan and clear it if necessary.
  • Ensure the enclosure is in a well-ventilated area.
