1. Introduction

The CPR Call Blocker Shield is designed to help you manage and block unwanted telephone calls. This device comes pre-programmed with a database of known scam numbers and allows you to block additional numbers with a simple press of a button. To function correctly, a Caller ID service from your telephone provider is required.

2. Setup

Follow these steps to connect your CPR Call Blocker Shield:

  1. Ensure Caller ID Service: Verify that you have an active Caller ID service from your telephone provider. The Call Blocker Shield requires this service to identify incoming calls.
  2. Disconnect Phone Line: Unplug your telephone line from the wall socket.
  3. Connect to Blocker: Connect the telephone line from the wall socket into the port labeled "LINE" on the CPR Call Blocker Shield.
  4. Connect Phone to Blocker: Connect your telephone handset or base unit into the port labeled "PHONE" on the CPR Call Blocker Shield using the provided telephone cable.
  5. Power On: The device is typically powered by the telephone line and does not require an external power adapter. Once connected, it should power on automatically.

3. Operating Instructions

The CPR Call Blocker Shield operates primarily by blocking calls from its pre-programmed database and allowing manual blocking of additional numbers.

3.1 Automatic Blocking

The device comes pre-programmed with a list of over 2000 known scam and nuisance numbers. Calls from these numbers will be automatically blocked, and your phone will not ring.

3.2 Manual Blocking (Block Now Button)

To block an unwanted number that is currently calling or has just called:

  1. During an Incoming Call: If you receive an unwanted call, press the large red "BLOCK NOW" button on the device. The call will be disconnected, and the number will be added to your personal block list.
  2. After a Call: If you wish to block the last incoming number, simply press the "BLOCK NOW" button after the call has ended. The last number will be added to your block list.

The device can store up to 1500 additional numbers on your personal block list.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Environment: Keep the device in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Software Updates: The pre-programmed database is static. There are no user-updatable software components for this model.

5. Troubleshooting
