1. Introduction

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these general steps for installing your Xilence Performance C CPU Cooler. Specific steps may vary slightly depending on your motherboard and PC case.

  1. Prepare the Motherboard: Place the motherboard on a non-conductive surface. If a CPU is already installed, ensure it is properly seated in the socket.
  2. Install the Backplate: Position the included backplate on the rear side of the motherboard, aligning its holes with the CPU cooler mounting holes around the CPU socket. This cooler is compatible with Intel sockets 1150, 1151, 1155, and 1156.

  3. Apply Thermal Paste (if not pre-applied): If your cooler does not have thermal paste pre-applied to its base, apply a small amount (pea-sized dot) to the center of the CPU's integrated heat spreader (IHS).
  4. Mount the Cooler: Carefully place the CPU cooler onto the CPU, aligning the mounting screws with the holes in the backplate. Press down gently and evenly.
  5. Secure the Cooler: Tighten the four spring-loaded screws in a diagonal pattern (e.g., top-left, bottom-right, top-right, bottom-left) until they are finger-tight. Do not overtighten. The spring mechanism ensures even pressure.

  6. Connect the Fan Cable: Locate the 4-pin PWM fan header on your motherboard (usually labeled "CPU_FAN") and connect the cooler's 4-pin cable to it. Ensure the connector is fully seated.
  7. Final Check: Double-check all connections and ensure the cooler is securely mounted and not obstructing any other components.

5. Operating Instructions

The Xilence Performance C CPU Cooler XC032 operates automatically via its PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control. The motherboard's BIOS/UEFI or operating system software will regulate the fan speed based on the CPU temperature, ensuring optimal cooling performance and noise levels.
