This manual provides instructions for the Honeywell Home DC313NHGBS Series 3 Wireless Doorbell Kit. This kit includes a plug-in doorbell unit, a portable doorbell unit, and a wireless push button. Setup

1. Battery Installation

Wireless Push Button

1. Open the push button casing.
2. Insert the supplied CR2 battery, observing polarity (+/-).
3. Close the casing securely.

Portable Doorbell Unit

1. Open the battery compartment on the portable unit.
2. Insert 4 x AA batteries (not included), observing polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment.

2. Mounting the Wireless Push Button

The push button can be mounted using screws or the supplied double-sided adhesive pad.

• Screw Mounting: Mark the desired location, drill pilot holes if necessary, and secure the mounting plate with the provided screws. Attach the push button to the mounting plate.
• Adhesive Mounting: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Apply the double-sided adhesive pad to the back of the push button and firmly press it onto the desired location.

3. Positioning the Doorbell Units

• Plug-in Doorbell Unit: Insert the plug-in unit into a standard wall socket. Note that it may cover the switch on some sockets.
• Portable Doorbell Unit: Place the portable unit in any desired location within range of the push button. It can be moved around the house or garden.

4. Pairing the Push Button with Doorbell Units (ActivLink™)

The units are typically pre-paired. If re-pairing is needed or for adding additional accessories:

1. On the doorbell unit (either plug-in or portable), press and hold the 'cog wheel' button until the small amber pairing LED begins to flash.
2. Within 12 seconds, press the wireless push button. The doorbell unit will chime to confirm successful pairing.
3. Repeat this process for any other doorbell units you wish to pair.

Operating Instructions

Volume Adjustment

Use the volume control buttons (speaker icons) on the side of the doorbell units to adjust the sound level. The system offers an enhanced digital sound output of 84 dB.

Melody Selection

Press the 'music note' button on the side of the doorbell units to cycle through the 6 available melodies. Select your preferred chime.

Visual Alerts (LED Strobe)

The doorbell units feature an LED strobe light for additional visual alerts, useful in noisy environments or for individuals with hearing impairments. This can be activated or deactivated via the settings button (gear icon).

Secret Knock Function

To activate the secret knock function, press the wireless push button three times quickly. The doorbell unit will play a different, distinct melody, allowing you to identify specific visitors.

Wireless Range

The system offers a wireless range of up to 150 meters (approximately 492 feet) in open areas. Environmental factors such as walls, metal structures, and other wireless devices may reduce this range.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

• Wireless Push Button: Replace the CR2 battery when the confidence light on the push button no longer illuminates or the doorbell unit fails to chime.
• Portable Doorbell Unit: Replace the 4 x AA batteries when the sound becomes weak or the unit stops functioning.

Cleaning

Wipe the units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surface.

Troubleshooting

• Doorbell unit does not chime:
  • Check batteries in the push button and portable doorbell unit.
  • Ensure the plug-in unit is securely in a powered socket.
  • Verify that the units are paired correctly (refer to 'Pairing' section).
  • Check if the doorbell unit is within range of the push button.
• Poor wireless range:
