2. Installing Remote Control Batteries

  • Close the battery compartment securely.

3. Propeller Installation

The xRaptor comes with pre-installed propellers. If replacement is needed:

  • Identify the 'A' and 'B' markings on the propellers and the corresponding motor arms.
  • Ensure you match the correct propeller type (A or B) to the correct motor arm. Incorrect installation will prevent proper flight.
  • Gently push the propeller onto the motor shaft until it is secure.
  • Ensure propeller guards are securely attached to the quadcopter frame.

4. Micro SD Card Installation

  • Locate the Micro SD card slot on the quadcopter (usually near the camera).
  • Insert the provided 4GB Micro SD card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down, until it clicks into place.
  • To remove, gently push the card in again, and it will spring out.

Operating Instructions

1. Pairing the Quadcopter and Remote Control

  • Place the quadcopter on a flat, level surface.
  • Turn on the quadcopter's power switch. The LED lights will flash.
  • Turn on the remote control's power switch.
  • Push the left stick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down.
  • The quadcopter's LED lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.

2. Calibration

After pairing, it is recommended to calibrate the gyroscope for stable flight:

  • With the quadcopter on a flat surface and paired, push both control sticks to the bottom-right corner simultaneously for a few seconds.
  • The quadcopter's LED lights will flash rapidly and then become solid, indicating successful calibration.

3. Take-off and Landing

  • Take-off: Gently push the left stick (throttle) upwards. The propellers will start spinning, and the quadcopter will ascend. Increase throttle to gain altitude.
  • Landing: Slowly pull the left stick (throttle) downwards. The quadcopter will descend. Once it lands, pull the throttle all the way down to stop the propellers.

4. Flight Controls

  • Ascend/Descend: Push the left stick (throttle) up or down.
  • Forward/Backward: Push the right stick up or down.
  • Left/Right Sideways Flight: Push the right stick left or right.
  • Rotate Left/Right (Yaw): Push the left stick (throttle) left or right.
  • 360-Degree Flips: Press the dedicated flip button (refer to remote control diagram if available), then quickly push the right stick in the desired flip direction (forward, backward, left, or right).

5. Photo and Video Recording

  • Ensure a Micro SD card is properly inserted into the quadcopter.
  • To take a photo: Press the Photo button on the remote control. The quadcopter's LED lights may flash once to indicate a photo has been taken.
  • To start video recording: Press the Video button on the remote control. The quadcopter's LED lights may flash continuously or change color to indicate recording is in progress.
  • To stop video recording: Press the Video button again. The LED lights will return to their normal state.
  • To access your media, power off the quadcopter, remove the Micro SD card, and insert it into the provided card reader to view on a computer.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the quadcopter and remote control. Avoid using water or solvents.
  • Propeller Replacement: If propellers are damaged or bent, replace them with the provided spare propellers. Ensure correct 'A' and 'B' propeller types are installed on the corresponding motor arms.
  • Battery Care: Do not store the battery fully charged or completely depleted for extended periods. Charge it to about 50% for long-term storage. Remove batteries from the remote control if not used for a long time.
  • Storage: Store the quadcopter and remote control in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting
