Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. Ensure the vehicle's electrical system is compatible with 12 Volts DC.

1. Mounting the Radio

Select a location that does not obstruct driving, airbags, or vehicle controls. The compact design allows for installation in tight spaces. Use the provided mounting bracket and hardware to securely attach the radio.

2. Power Connection

Connect the red wire of the power cord to a positive (+) 12V DC source (e.g., vehicle battery or fuse box). Connect the black wire to a negative (-) ground point (e.g., vehicle chassis). Ensure connections are secure and properly insulated.

3. Microphone Connection

Plug the microphone's 4-pin connector into the corresponding jack on the front of the CB radio. Secure the microphone using the provided microphone clip in an easily accessible location.

Note: The receiver requires the microphone to be attached to function.

4. Antenna Connection

Connect a properly tuned CB antenna (not included) to the antenna jack on the rear of the radio. An improperly tuned antenna can damage the radio's transmitter.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Volume Control

Turn the Volume knob clockwise to power on the unit and adjust the listening volume. Turn counter-clockwise until it clicks to power off.

2. Channel Selection

Rotate the Channel knob to select one of the 40 available CB channels. The selected channel number will be displayed on the LCD.

3. RF Gain Control

The RF Gain knob adjusts the receiver sensitivity to incoming signals. Turn clockwise for maximum sensitivity (for weak signals) and counter-clockwise to reduce sensitivity (for strong signals or to reduce background noise).

4. Instant Channels 9/19

Press the CH 9/19 button to instantly switch to Emergency Channel 9 or Information Channel 19. Press again to toggle between them or return to the previously selected channel.

5. VOX Hands-Free Usage

The VOX feature allows for hands-free transmission. When enabled, the radio will automatically transmit when you speak into the microphone. Refer to the full manual for detailed VOX sensitivity adjustments.

6. PA System Operation

To use the Public Address (PA) function, connect an external PA speaker (not included) to the PA jack on the rear of the radio. Switch the CB/PA switch to PA. Your voice from the microphone will now be broadcast through the external speaker.
