4. Setup and Assembly

The KQ-781 lift requires assembly before first use. It is recommended that two adults perform the assembly process.

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Place them on a clean, flat surface.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Preparing for Transfer

  • Ensure the lift's battery is sufficiently charged.
  • Position the lift close to the patient.
  • Lock the rear casters using the foot-operated stoppers.
  • Adjust the handle height for comfortable operation by the caregiver.
  • Carefully position the patient sling under the patient according to the sling manufacturer's instructions.
  • Attach the sling loops securely to the spreader bar hooks. Double-check all connections.

5.2. Lifting and Lowering

  • To Lift: Press and hold the "UP" button on the hand control. The lift will smoothly raise the patient. Monitor the patient's comfort and position during the lift.
  • To Lower: Press and hold the "DOWN" button on the hand control. The lift will smoothly lower the patient. Guide the patient into the desired position.
  • Release the button to stop movement at any time.

5.3. Maneuvering the Lift

  • Unlock the rear casters before moving the lift.
  • Use the handles to gently push or pull the lift to the desired location.
  • Avoid sudden movements or excessive force.
  • Always lock the casters once the lift is in position for transfer.
