1. Introduction

This bassinet features gentle swaying motions, a variety of music and sounds, soothing vibrations, and a light projection system to help your baby drift off to sleep. The overhead mobile offers visual stimulation, while the removable projector unit can also be used as a tabletop soother. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your bassinet.

2. Important Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before assembling and using the bassinet. Keep these instructions for future reference.

General Safety Guidelines:

• WARNING: To help prevent falls, do not use this product when the infant begins to push up on hands and knees, pull up, or sit unassisted, or has reached 9 kg (approximately 20 lbs), whichever comes first.
• Always place the bassinet on a firm, flat, and level surface.
• Do not place additional padding or bedding under the infant.
• Keep the bassinet away from cords, blinds, or any objects that could pose a strangulation hazard.
• Ensure all assembly fasteners are securely tightened before use.
• Never leave your child unattended in the bassinet.
• Regularly inspect the bassinet for any signs of damage or wear. Discontinue use if any parts are damaged.

3. Assembly and Setup

The Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Bassinet requires some assembly. Follow the steps below to set up your bassinet.

Components:

• Bassinet frame
• Bassinet bed with mesh sides
• Sleeping pad
• Overhead mobile with toys
• Soother unit (with light projection, music, sounds, and vibrations)
• Storage basket (underneath the bassinet)

Assembly Steps:

1. Unpack all components and ensure all parts are present.
2. Assemble the bassinet frame according to the diagrams provided in the separate assembly guide. Ensure all connections click securely into place.
3. Attach the bassinet bed to the assembled frame.
4. Insert the sleeping pad into the bassinet bed.
5. Attach the soother unit to the side of the bassinet.
6. Install 3 C batteries (not included) into the soother unit.
7. Attach the overhead mobile to the designated slot on the bassinet frame.
8. Secure the storage basket to the bottom of the frame.

4. Operating Instructions

Soother Unit Controls:

The soother unit, located on the side of the bassinet, provides multiple calming options. It requires 3 C batteries (not included).

• Power Button: Press to turn the unit ON/OFF.
• Music Button: Select from various melodies.
• Nature Sounds Button: Choose from serene nature sounds.
• Volume Control: Adjust the sound level up or down.
• Light Projection Button: Activates the overhead star projection.
• Night Light Button: Provides a soft, dim light within the bassinet.

Swaying Motion:

The bassinet is designed to sway gently, either by your touch or the baby's own movements. An optional lock-out feature is available to minimize swaying motion if preferred.

Overhead Mobile:

The deluxe overhead mobile features stars and a cute lion toy. It can be easily moved to the left or right to facilitate placing or removing your baby from the bassinet.

Tabletop Soother Function:

The light projection unit can be removed from the bassinet and used independently as a tabletop soother, providing versatility as your child grows.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygiene of your bassinet.

Cleaning Instructions:

• Removable Sheet: The sheet covering the sleeping pad is machine washable. Follow the care label instructions for washing and drying.
• Sleeping Pad: The sleeping pad is wipeable. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow to air dry completely before reinserting into the bassinet.
• Frame and Mesh Sides: Wipe down the frame and mesh sides with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Soother Unit: Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Do not immerse in water.

Storage:

When not in use, store the bassinet in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your bassinet, refer to the following common solutions:

• Soother Unit Not Working: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace with fresh C batteries if necessary.
• No Sound/Vibration: Check battery levels. Ensure volume is not set to minimum.
• Swaying Motion Restricted: Verify that the optional lock-out mechanism is disengaged if you desire swaying motion. Ensure the bassinet is on a level surface.
• Mobile Not Spinning: The mobile is designed for manual movement or gentle swaying with the bassinet. It does not have an automatic rotation function.
