1. Introduction
The CORAVIN Model One Advanced Wine Preservation System allows you to pour wine from a bottle without removing the cork. This innovative system uses a specially designed needle to access the wine, while simultaneously injecting ultra-pure Argon gas to protect the remaining wine from oxidation. This ensures that the last glass tastes as fresh as the first, preserving your wine for weeks, months, or even years.

2. What's Included
Your CORAVIN Model One system package includes the following components:
- One (1) CORAVIN Model One Wine Preserver device.
- Two (2) CORAVIN Argon Capsules. Each capsule is designed to allow pouring of up to fifteen (15) 5-ounce glasses of wine.
3. Setup
Before first use, or when replacing an empty capsule, follow these steps to prepare your CORAVIN system:
- Unscrew the capsule cup from the bottom of the CORAVIN device.
- Insert a CORAVIN Argon Capsule into the capsule cup, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Screw the capsule cup back onto the device firmly until you hear a click, indicating the capsule is pierced and sealed.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to pour wine using your CORAVIN Model One system:
- Remove any foil or capsule from the top of the wine bottle. Ensure the bottle has a natural cork. The system is not designed for synthetic corks or screw caps.
- Place the CORAVIN system over the neck of the wine bottle. The clamps should securely grip the bottle.
- Firmly push the needle straight down through the cork until the clamps rest on the bottle neck.
- Tilt the bottle with the CORAVIN system attached, so the spout is over your wine glass.
- Press and release the trigger to release a short burst of Argon gas. This will pressurize the bottle and allow wine to flow.
- Continue to press and release the trigger in short bursts until the desired amount of wine is poured. The Argon gas replaces the wine as it is poured, preventing oxygen from entering the bottle.
- Once pouring is complete, tilt the bottle upright. The wine flow will stop.
- Pull the CORAVIN system straight up and off the bottle. The cork will naturally reseal itself.

Optional: Using the Coravin Aerator
For wines that benefit from aeration, the Coravin Aerator (sold separately) can be attached to the system's spout. This accessory is designed to rapidly aerate wine as it is poured, enhancing its aromas and flavors.
- Ensure the aerator is clean and dry.
- Push the aerator firmly onto the Coravin system's spout.
- Pour wine as usual. The aerator will mix air with the wine as it flows into your glass.
- After use, remove the aerator and rinse it thoroughly with water.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your CORAVIN system:
- After each use, rinse the spout with warm water to remove any wine residue.
- If the needle becomes clogged or damaged, it can be replaced. Gently unscrew the old needle and screw in a new one.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your CORAVIN Model One, consider the following:
- Wine is not pouring or flow is slow: Ensure the Argon capsule is not empty and is securely installed. Press the trigger a few times to ensure gas flow.
- Gas is escaping: Check that the Argon capsule is screwed in tightly. Ensure the needle is properly seated and not bent.
- Wine leaking around the cork: Verify that the needle is fully inserted into the cork and the clamps are securely attached to the bottle neck. The system is designed for natural corks; performance may vary with synthetic corks.
