Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Honeywell Home Wireless Doorbell:

  1. Install Batteries: The doorbell unit requires 1 CR2 battery (not included). Open the battery compartment on the portable doorbell unit and insert the battery, ensuring correct polarity. The push button typically comes with a pre-installed battery or requires a small coin cell battery.
  2. Mount the Push Button: Choose a suitable location for the push button near your door. Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Use the provided screws or adhesive tape to securely mount the push button.
  3. Position the Doorbell Unit: Place the portable doorbell unit in a central location within your home where the chime can be easily heard. The unit has a range of up to 350 feet from the push button.
  4. Pairing (if necessary): Your doorbell and push button are typically pre-paired from the factory. If they do not connect automatically, refer to the "Troubleshooting" section for pairing instructions.

Operating Instructions

This section details the various functions and controls of your Honeywell Home Wireless Doorbell.

Push Button Operation

When the push button is pressed, the doorbell unit will chime and the LED halo will illuminate. The push button itself also lights up to confirm activation.

Adjusting Volume

The doorbell unit features dedicated buttons for adjusting the volume level. Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons located on the side of the unit to set your preferred sound level.

Changing Chime Tune

The doorbell unit comes with nine preinstalled tunes. To change the chime tune, press the push button, then press the Music Note button on the doorbell unit within 12 seconds. Repeat until you find your desired tune.

Customizing LED Halo Color

The doorbell unit features seven customizable LED halo alert colors. To change the halo color, press the push button, then press the Sunlight button on the doorbell unit. Each press will cycle through the available colors.

Mute Function and Sleep Mode

The doorbell unit includes a mute function and sleep mode to adapt use for different times of day. Press the Mute button on the top of the unit to cycle through mute options:

  • 1 Time: Mute (temporary)
  • 2 Times: Mute for 3 hours
  • 3 Times: Mute for 6 hours
  • 4 Times: Mute for 9 hours
  • 5 Times: Mute for 12 hours
  • 6 Times: Unmute (permanent mute can also be set)

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your doorbell system, consider the following maintenance tips:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the doorbell unit and push button with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace the CR2 battery in the portable doorbell unit when the low battery indicator illuminates or when the unit stops responding. For the push button, replace its battery (typically a coin cell) when it no longer activates the doorbell unit.
  • Environmental Conditions: While the push button is designed for outdoor use, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your doorbell, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
