Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your PTH110 label maker.

  • Cleaning the Unit:
    • Turn off the label maker and disconnect the AC adapter if in use.
    • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a cloth lightly dampened with water and mild detergent, then wipe dry immediately.
    • Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or any abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the casing.
  • Cleaning the Print Head:
    • If print quality degrades (e.g., lines missing), the print head may need cleaning.
    • Open the tape compartment cover and remove the tape cartridge.
    • Gently wipe the print head (the small black rectangular component) with a cotton swab dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting the tape.
  • Cleaning the Cutter Blade:
    • If the tape does not cut cleanly, the cutter blade may have adhesive residue.
    • With the tape compartment open, carefully use a cotton swab dampened with isopropyl alcohol to clean any residue from the cutter blade area. Be cautious as the blade is sharp.
