4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing Food and Bags

  • Use only embossed vacuum sealer bags designed for vacuum sealing.
  • Ensure the bag is clean and dry inside the sealing area.
  • Leave at least 7-10 cm (3-4 inches) of space between the food and the top of the bag to allow for proper sealing.
  • For moist foods, pre-freeze or place a paper towel inside the bag to absorb excess moisture and prevent liquid from entering the vacuum channel.

4.2 Automatic Vacuum Sealing

  1. Place the open end of the bag flat into the vacuum channel, ensuring it is centered over the sealing bar. The bag opening should be fully inside the vacuum chamber.
  2. Close the lid of the vacuum sealer firmly until it latches into place.
  3. The appliance will automatically begin the vacuuming process, removing air from the bag.
  4. Once the desired vacuum level is reached, the appliance will automatically seal the bag.
  5. Wait for the indicator light to turn off, then press the release buttons (if present) or lift the lid to open the appliance.
  6. Remove the sealed bag. Inspect the seal to ensure it is complete and even.

4.3 Sealing Only (Without Vacuum)

This function is useful for sealing bags without removing air, such as for delicate items or creating custom-sized bags from a roll.

  1. Place the open end of the bag over the sealing bar, ensuring it is flat and smooth.
  2. Close the lid firmly.
  3. Press the 'Seal Only' button (refer to appliance controls for exact button). The appliance will heat the sealing bar and create a seal.
  4. Wait for the indicator light to turn off, then open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Appliance

  1. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  3. Clean the vacuum channel and drip tray (if removable) after each use, especially if liquids have been drawn into it. Use warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.
  4. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or next use.

5.2 Sealing Bar and Gaskets

  • The sealing bar can become hot during use. Allow it to cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe the sealing bar with a dry cloth. Do not scratch or damage the sealing element.
  • Check the rubber gaskets around the vacuum channel regularly for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Damaged gaskets can impair vacuum performance. Replace if necessary.
