Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully for proper installation of your air activated switch button:

  1. Prepare the Mounting Location:

Identify a suitable location on your sink top or countertop. The button requires a drilled hole with a diameter between 1 1/4 inches (3.175 cm) and 1 3/4 inches (4.445 cm). For thicker countertops (e.g., granite, marble, quartz), the 2.5-inch long body of this switch is ideal.

  2. Drill the Hole (if necessary):

If a hole is not already present, carefully drill a hole of the specified diameter at your chosen location. Ensure the area is clean and free of debris after drilling.

  3. Assemble the Button:

Place the button device through the drilled hole from the top. From underneath the sink/countertop, slide the support ring and then the nut onto the threaded body of the button. Hand-tighten the nut securely to hold the button in place. Do not overtighten.

  4. Connect the Air Tube:

Connect one end of the 45-inch air tube to the barb fitting on the underside of the air switch button. Connect the other end of the air tube to the air switch input on your garbage disposal's power module. Ensure the air tube is routed cleanly and directly, avoiding kinks or excessive coiling. Trim any excess hose using sharp cutters to ensure optimal performance and responsiveness.

  5. Test the Connection:

Once all connections are secure, restore power to the garbage disposal unit. Press the air switch button to test its functionality. The disposal should activate when pressed and deactivate when released.
