4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button on both the RX9 receiver and TX9 transmitter to turn them on or off. The backlit LCD displays will illuminate upon power-on.
4.2 Channel Selection and Syncing
The UwMic9 system operates on 96 selectable channels across two groups (A and B). To find the clearest available channel, use the auto-scan feature on the RX9 receiver. Once a clear channel is found, use the built-in infrared sync function to match the transmitter to the receiver. This ensures a stable and interference-free connection.
4.3 Audio Monitoring
The RX9 receiver features a headphone output, allowing real-time audio monitoring. Connect headphones to this port to monitor your audio directly from the receiver, even if your camera lacks a headphone output. Adjust the volume using the controls on the receiver.
4.4 Operating Distance
The system offers an operating distance of up to 330 feet (100 meters) in optimal conditions. Ensure a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver for best performance.
4.5 Expanding Your System
The UwMic9 system is highly expandable. Optional transmitters like the SR-XLR9 (XLR plug-on transmitter) and SR-HU9 (handheld wireless microphone) can be added to enhance your setup. Additionally, various optional output cables are available to connect the RX9 receiver to smartphones, tablets, action cameras, and computers.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your UwMic9 system, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
No Sound/Weak Signal | Low batteries, incorrect channel, transmitter/receiver too far apart, obstructions. | Replace batteries, perform auto-scan and infrared sync, reduce distance, ensure clear line of sight. |
Interference/Noise | Nearby wireless devices, crowded frequency, environmental interference. | Perform auto-scan to find a clear channel, move away from other wireless devices. |
Lavalier Mic Not Working | Mic not securely connected, damaged cable. | Ensure lavalier is fully inserted and locked into TX9. Check cable for damage. |
Receiver Not Powering On | Dead or incorrectly inserted batteries. | Check battery polarity and replace with fresh AA batteries. |
