Setup

1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the packing list are present and undamaged. If any items are missing or damaged, contact customer support.

2. Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the handset.
  2. Insert the included Lithium Ion battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  4. Place the handset on the charging base. The 'CHARGE' indicator on the handset should illuminate.
  5. Allow the battery to charge for a full 12-14 hours before initial use, even if the display indicates a full charge sooner. This ensures optimal battery performance and longevity.

3. Connecting the Base Unit

  1. Connect the small end of the power adapter to the 'DC IN' jack on the back of the base unit.
  2. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the 'LINE' jack on the back of the base unit.
  4. Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your telephone wall jack (PSTN).

Ensure all connections are secure. Place the base unit on a flat, stable surface, away from sources of interference such as other electronic devices or large metal objects.

Operating Instructions

Making a Call

  1. Pick up the handset from the base or press the TALK button.
  2. Dial the desired phone number. The number will appear on the LCD display.
  3. Wait for the call to connect.
  4. To end the call, press the END button or place the handset back on the base.

Answering a Call

When the phone rings, pick up the handset or press the TALK button.

Using the Speakerphone

During a call, press the Speakerphone button (often indicated by a speaker icon) to activate the speakerphone function. Press it again to switch back to handset mode.

Adjusting Volume

During a call, use the VOL (Volume) up/down buttons on the handset to adjust the earpiece or speakerphone volume.

Phone Book (Directory)

The Beetel X70 can store up to 100 numbers in its phone book.

  1. Press the MENU button.
  2. Navigate to 'PHONE BOOK' using the navigation buttons (up/down).
  3. Select 'ADD NEW' to store a new contact, or 'VIEW' to browse existing contacts.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter the name and number.

LCD Display and Keypad

Maintenance

Battery Care
