Important Safety Instructions
- Always use only Lavazza A Modo Mio capsules with this machine. Using other capsule types may damage the machine and void the warranty.
- Fill the water tank exclusively with cold, fresh drinking water. Never use milk, other liquids, or hot water in the water tank.
- Ensure the machine is placed on a stable, flat surface away from heat sources and water.
- Do not immerse the machine, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Unplug the machine from the power outlet before cleaning and when not in use for extended periods.
- Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
Getting Started (Setup)
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove the coffee machine and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage. Check for any damage to the machine or its components.
2. Initial Cleaning
Before first use, wash the water tank, drip tray, and used capsule container with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts.
3. Filling the Water Tank
Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Fill it with fresh, cold drinking water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Reinsert the water tank firmly into its position.

4. First Use / Priming

- Press the ON/OFF button. The button will flash while heating up and become steady when ready (approximately 35 seconds).
- Without inserting a capsule, lift the lever, then close it. Press the coffee dispensing button. Water will flow into the cup. Let it run until the tank is almost empty.
- Repeat this process once or twice to thoroughly rinse the internal circuits.

4. Adjusting Coffee Volume
The Lavazza Jolie allows for manual control of coffee volume. Press the coffee dispensing button to start brewing, and press it again to stop when your desired volume is reached. This feature is useful for preparing different coffee styles like espresso or lungo.
5. Turning Off the Machine
Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the machine. It is recommended to turn off the machine after each use to save energy.
Maintenance
1. Daily Cleaning
After each use, empty and clean the drip tray and the used capsule container. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
2. Emptying the Used Capsule Container
The used capsule container can hold up to 5 capsules. When full, remove the drip tray and then slide out the capsule container. Dispose of the used capsules and wash the container with warm water and mild detergent.
3. Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits can build up inside the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine regularly (e.g., every 3-6 months, depending on water hardness). Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines and follow the product's instructions. Always rinse the machine thoroughly with several cycles of fresh water after descaling.
Troubleshooting
- No coffee dispensed: Check if the water tank is filled, if a capsule is correctly inserted, and if the machine is heated up (steady light).
- Water leaking: Ensure the water tank is properly seated and not overfilled. Check for any cracks in the tank.
- Coffee is cold: Allow the machine sufficient time to heat up. Ensure the ON/OFF button light is steady.
- Machine not turning on: Verify the power cord is securely plugged into both the machine and the wall outlet. Check the power supply.
- Coffee flow is slow or blocked: This may indicate a need for descaling. Perform a descaling cycle as per the instructions.
If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
